[Video] Chinwag Live: When Customer Service Goes Social Event Last Week
Last week saw the return of Chinwag Live, and with the help of our event sponsors, Conversocial we brought you Chinwag Live: When Customer Service Goes Social.
The event looked into the profound impact social media is having on how corporates interact with their existing and prospective customers. We discussed challenges and solutions as well as the future of customer service on Facebook and other social tools.
If you missed the event, or just want to take a look at the action again, you can check out the video here.
First up we had Gavin Sathianathan, Strategic Partner Manager at Facebook take the stage. Gavin chatted to the room about the recent f8 changes and what they meant for businesses. Next up Joshua March, CEO at Conversocial talked about the importance of responsiveness in customer care. After Josh gave away some champagne to Simon Sanders, winner of the Facebook question competition, Guy Stephens, Technology Consultant at Capgemini took to the stage and discussed the perspective from a customer service angle.
After all the presentations were complete the panel discussion begun. Joining Gavin, Josh and Guy we had Julia Monro, Community Manager at Marks and Spencer and Simon Collister, Consultancy Director at We Are Social. The panellists were quizzed and questioned by the chair for the night, Luke Brynley-Jones from Our Social Times.
To finish we opened the floor to questions, most of which had been bubbling away on the twitter hashtag (#clcrm) throughout the night.
The event also got a mention in Marketing Week, in an article written by Lara O'Reilly two days after the event. The article quotes Gavin’s response to a question asked about how Facebook handles their customer care. Check the online article out here.
We wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the panellist for taking part, and helping to make the event such a success. Another huge thank you goes out to our event sponsor, Conversocial.
