SXSW Interactive: Networking with an International Twist

Everyone knows that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Or breakfast. Or drinks...

That is, unless you're in Austin for South by South West (SXSW). The Chinwag team will be heading out to Austin along with UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) and 31 of the UK's leading digital companies on the UKTI Mission to SXSW.

Alongside the 200+ conference sessions, the trade show (where the Brits have a stand so big, it's been dubbed the British aisle - geddit?) and dozens of evening events, there's more than a handful with an international flavour. 

For those heading in to Austin from abroad, it's a great chance to meet fellow travellers, and the Americans interested in making connections overseas. Here's a few we're involved with (and if you know of more, please feel free to add them in the comments):

Join us for Chinwag's Global Grill, an official SXSW party, for all the international folks heading to Austin for South by South West (SXSW). Supported by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), swing by Brush Square Park, grab some BBQ and a beer, and discover some of the opportunities beyond your own borders.

Naturally, we're already looking forward to the festivities. We’ve put some money behind the bar, and can't wait to share fun times and frosty beverages with you lovely, thirsty conference goers. Though be sure to get there early as numbers are limited.

Free booze, good music and even better company... what more could you ask for? We'll see you there!

Chinwag and UK Trade & Investment are hosting a networking event with thebest and brightest from the UK digital media industry along with US investors and international media. 

This is a great opportunity to join the top innovative digital entrepreneurs and companies from the UK, including the 31 companies on the UKTI Mission to SXSWi. Come and meet the Brit’s and talk about all things digital.

Of course alongside the networking we will be serving a full fry up, Brit style. We don’t want to make your mouth water but...bacon, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, toast and most importantly Heinz Baked Beans! 

Once you have signed up, you can pick up your ticket from the UKTI stand on the SXSWi expo floor.
