This is the last session of City Unrulyversity before the Summer Break. Last academic year has been a special one thanks to you, the attendees, the speakers, and everyone else who was part of City Unrulyversity. So we thought it was time to say thanks and to celebrate! We have convened a seriously exciting panel of entrepreneurs, creatives, and researchers to discuss how and why start-ups should celebrate success. 

Starting up and growing a successful company is a difficult task and sometimes failure is something that has to be taken in account given the very hectitc and competive business environment. Hence, celebrating success become key for fostering ideas and enhancing the innovativeness of your company.

Matt Celuszak connects people.  His career began at IMG to help clients like Bank of America, Deutsche Bank, and the PGA connect with their key markets in unique ways.  Matt then moved to Canadian tech startup Vision Critical, helping brands like Nestle, Pirelli, and Coca-Cola to connect with stakeholders through private online communities  in over 35 countries. He grew that business in 3 markets adding over 20 key accounts.Seeing the impact of an enabling technology like the bespoke communities, Matt co-founded CrowdEmotionTM in July, 2013 with GianCarlo, neuroscientist, and Diego, CTO.CrowdEmotionTM measures emotions that drive behaviours and links them to business outcomes simply using a camera.  In realtime.  Anywhere in the world.Working out of the BBC Worldwide Labs, CrowdEmotionTM launched the first round of API technology enabling brands to focus on their business while humanizing their experience.

Glen Duncan is Director of Operations at Unruly and has ten years experience in developing operational frameworks to deliver awesome results for clients.  Before Unruly, Glen led global and domestic operations at the Financial Times and Virgin Media respectively, and is an active member of the IAB UK's Ad Ops working group

Prof Vangelis Souitaris is a professor of Entrepreneurship at Cass Business School, City University London. He became Cass’s youngest full professor in 2006 (age 34). Before Cass, Vangelis spent 6 years at Imperial College London. Vangelis also held visiting appointments at Wharton, Bologna, and Vlerick. In 2011, he was recognized as one of the top 40 business school professors under 40 years old, by the online business education magazine “Poets and Quants”. He is the subject leader for Entrepreneurship at Cass and the PhD director. Vangelis specialises in technology entrepreneurship. He has studied multiple aspects of the phenomenon, namely the creation, financing, innovation, and strategy of new technology ventures. Currently he focuses on 3 specific areas: 1) strategic decision making in new ventures, 2) corporate venture capital and 3) academic entrepreneurship.

Sarah Wood  is Co-founder and COO of marketing technology company, Unruly, where she ensures that the company delivers the most awesome social video campaigns on the planet.Sarah has been voted UK Female Entrepreneur of the Year by the Growing Business Awards, one of 15 Women to Watch in Tech by Inc., one of 10 London-Based Entrepreneurs to Watch by Forbes and a Rising Star in Computer Weekly’s Most Influential Women in UK IT.Sarah is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Cambridge, where she teaches a course in “Mash-Ups, Memes and LOLitics: Online Video Culture and the Screen Media Revolution” for the Screen Media and Cultures MPhil. She has been a member of Social Media Week’s Global Advisory Board since 2011 and is part of the Gazelle Group of Entrepreneurs, helping to foster a new generation of entrepreneurs.
