Accelerated Productivity - One day to clarity and control
Event Info
Description
Optimise productivity and efficiency and increase your capacity for creative thinking and doing.
Finding the space to be creative is harder than ever. Modern working
practices mean we juggle diverse work loads whilst fielding increasing
interruptions from email, tweets, text, phone, letters and colleagues.
This practical workshop walks you through a brilliantly simple and
straight forward framework before supporting you in actively
implementing best practice there and then. The framework is designed to
be habit forming: fading into the background of your work and freeing
your brain to focus on what really makes a difference.
During the workshop you will build a unique personal productivity system
that keeps you focused, and optimises your time, task, email and
project management freeing up space to be creative. You will actively
review all your current activities giving consideration to every live
task and project before constructing your own productivity system. You
can choose to extend the course with a series of 121 telephone mentoring
in the weeks following the workshop to help you adopt the new working
practices (not included in the workshop fee).
The ability to access your email to do lists and calendar (eg via a
laptop) during the workshop is useful and helps with immediate
application of the learning.
By the end of the workshop you will:
• Understand what increases productivity
• Have developed a sustainable framework to make permanent improvements to your work
• Review all your live tasks and projects
• Implement a full personal productivity system
• Have rediscovered space for creative work
• Have gained a renewed sense of control over your work and life
• Feel highly motivated to move forward across all your projects.
Who should attend?
Anyone who feels the pressure of time and believes they could get more
from themselves. Anyone who finds that being creative and doing work are
not one and the same. For those interested, an option to extend the
workshop with 121 mentoring sessions is available.
The workshop is led by:
Curtis James, Director of People Who Do, manager of The Simon Sound,
father, book binder, Samaritan, marathon runner (almost). Curtis has
worked as a musician, audio producer, label manager and managing
director across a range of creative businesses: his own and other
peoples’. He still leads a creative life running a small letterpress
studio and collecting anything he thinks looks or feels awesome, but
concentrates on helping individuals and organisations get the most out
of themselves and their lives, which he has been doing for over a
decade. He has helped people in many different sectors including the
arts, media, design, financial and technology with his practical advice.
