Description
Location Based Services (LBS) is becoming one of the most talked about mobile topics in 2010 due to some big players entering the market.
With Facebook’s launch of ‘Facebook Places’ in August, and Google’s new location based advertising service, ‘Google Boost’, it is clear that the big players are taking LBS seriously. But what about the consumer- will they warm to location based advertising? Research conducted by the IAB showed that 49% of consumers find offers/vouchers that can be used in the local area compelling- but will concerns over sharing personal information hold this technology back?
