Do you want to learn how to grow makers innovation? Don't miss the opportunity to be part of the European Maker Week! An exclusive local event in London where you can learn from successful entrepreneurs and build a strong community within the maker world.
Makerversity opens its doors to host a workshop in which great London startup makers will be showing their projects, sharing their passion and their skills.
The talk will be about the community and the makers - what is necessary to create an outstanding hardware startup:
- What challenges early stage start-ups face when creating other than software/platforms/services?
- Dos and don’ts while launching and growing a hardware company.
- What kind of support would be needed by start-ups of the maker movement?

Heather Corcoran (CA/UK) is a curator and cultural producer with a specialism in technology, design and contemporary art. She leads Design & Technology Outreach for Kickstarter in the UK and Europe, based in London

Hannah Stewart, Researcher, Future Makerspaces.
Hannah Stewart is a Research Associate at the Royal College of Art on the 2 year Future Makespaces in Redistributed Manufacturing project. An agenda forming research project funded by the EPSRC to establish what role makespaces could play in future redistributed landscape of sustainable production. Makers are moving from product ideas to production - what emerging forms of infrastructure enable product start-ups to scale-up?
