‘Pushing NFV/SDN to the edge through Mobile Edge Computing’ - Virtual Networks SIG event
Event Info
Description
Scenarios are not only limited to caching locally relevant content closer to end users but also include offloading mobile computing tasks for gaming scenarios, enable rich virtual reality visualizations supported by MEC infrastructure and many other scenarios from the upcoming 5G world, particularly in the light of increasingly tighter latency constraints in these scenarios. Join us for this London event hosted by Bird & Bird delving deeper into what is fast becoming a major new trend in the mobile industry.
Delegates will be treated to a half day SIG event set to shed light on the ongoing activities in this space, including standardization activities in the ETSI domain, vendor and operator activities as well as academic considerations that pursue the vision of computing at the edge of the network.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Ning Wang, Reader in Networks, University of Surrey
- Julian Roldan Ramos, Telco Solutions Architect, Intel
- Matt Stagg, Senior Manager of Network Strategy, EE
The Virtual Networks SIG is championed by Phillip Bridge of EE, Martin Crack of Amdocs and Dirk Trossen of InterDigital.
