Cumbria Digital and Creative Rural Growth Network are pleased to announce the first collaborative business networking event “Wired Cumbria” in Ulverston. This follows on from our well received events in Kendal and Carlisle. The Wired Cumbria events are part of the Cumbria Business Growth Hub & Rural Growth Network activities aimed at supporting the Digital, Creative and ICT sector in Cumbria.
We would like to invite you to a busy night of facilitated networking where you will meet business owners and freelancers looking forward to "do business" rather than listen to sales pitches!!
The event is designed to attract 35+ business owners and freelancers working across the Furness peninsula and South Lakeland area of Cumbria as well as inviting businesses from Lancaster and further afield. The event will be an opportunity for businesses to network not only with Cumbria digital, creative and ICT business from the local area but also from the wider region.
The event will be an occasion to explore business opportunities, outsourcing options, matching up with freelancers or getting to explore alliances between complementary agencies over a cold glass of beer / wine or hot coffee. And a butty or two.....
Wired Cumbria is a ‘purely’ facilitated networking event, aimed at providing individual delegates with a bespoke number of introductions to business matched against their needs...as well as the event’s own list of Calls for Collaborations generated by the registered delegates
There are no speakers or pitching sessions.....the whole evening is dedicated to exploring possible business and technology collaborations between attending delegates. The facilitated introduction service seeks to avoid the need to spend the evening talking to people you don’t want to....at Wired Cumbria delegates get straight down to meeting and interacting with business owners who are similarly looking to “do business” and explore collaborations.
There is no charge to attend this event however we expect all those delegates wanting to attend to provide relevant information (Business profile, people they want to talk to etc) to assist in the network facilitation which is the core aspect of the event.
There will be a free bar and refreshments and all delegate materials and introductions will be provided.
