London Fusion is looking into the future. Join us to learn more about how the latest 3D printing technology could revolutionise your business products and speed to market. Work with others who are exploring the same ideas. Benefit from experts in people-centred design. How can your business ride the next wave of technology? How can digital and design businesses work together to ensure that your products and services are more instantly appealing to customers?

Activities covered include:
- Developing innovative products and services;
- Discovering the value and fun of working in terms;
- Learning the advantages and benefits of people-centred design;
- Learn more about 3D printing;
- Access to a 3D printer;
- A chance to compete for fast-track to Fusion Collaborative Awards (up to the value of £10.000);
- New thinking in how cities like London are changing and the opportunities for new local services and products
The day will be a mixture of inspirational talks from businesses and leading thinkers in this field and competitive team work. Mentors will be there to help teams shape their ideas. At the end of the day, teams can pitch their ideas to a panel of industry experts. The winning team will receive special access to experts to fast track them to London Fusion Collaborative Awards (up to the value of £10,000).
Previous experience of design is not a requirement to participate in this exciting event. All aspects of the intellectual property of the work produced during the Cities Design Jam are owned by the team members that developed them.
ImaginationLancaster is an open and exploratory design-led research lab at Lancaster University. We conduct applied and theoretical research into people, products, places and their interactions. We work with a variety of organisations to provide fresh perspectives on real-world issues and facilitate innovation.
ImaginationLancaster is organising three ‘Cities Design Jams’ in central London that will focus on diverse themes within cities.
- 6 December 2013 - Making in the City (3D Printing) Design Jam
- 20 February 2014 - Services in the City (Open Data) Design Jam
- 30 April 2014 - Health and Wellbeing in the City Design Jam

London Fusion Collaborative Awards provides you with access to London finest universities and independent research organisations resources. The partners include Goldsmiths, King’s College London, Kingston University, Queen Mary University, The Royal Central School for Speech and Drama, Centre for Creative Collaboration (University of London) and the Tate.
If you are registering for this event, you are registering for the cities Design Jam that examines making in the city using 3D printing technologies.
You will be required to fill out an application form before the event.
