After more than two decades working at the leading edge of technology, Benjamin is still passionate about what it can achieve, particularly at the intersections between people, communication and software.

He is mainly known for his roles at Redcatco (blog) and SocialOptic (blog), and his support for start ups and growing UK digital businesses - predominately though the Digital Mission with Chinwag and UKTI.

He makes the occasional appearance on Radio and TV, explaining the way that technology is changing the how businesses work, and also contributes to a number of blogs and print publications. Benjamin is also active in the academic domain as both a researcher and student.

This is a hosted networking event - please leave contact details when signing up and we will get in touch with you to find out more about you. We will then match you to other people attending the event who have a similar and matching interest.

TOPIC

'The 'we' Generation, how technology is changing the way that consumers think, and the future for technology companies in a 'we' world'.

WHY CHINWAG LOCAL?

Hosted Networking. No one likes being shoved into a room of random strangers and trying to find the one person who you should be talking to. Chinwag Local will find out about you and connect you at the event with those who you should be speaking to. A nice warm introduction and no wasting time.

Supporting the local business ecosystem reach companies that could use their help. Its great when your accountant is a phonecall away and better if they are next door. We help to make these connections and allow you to profit from a better deal.

Being green. It is always better to do business face to face. Even better to be able to walk to the office of your partners and do deals, sort problems and service the local community. However, in a thriving business environment like Twickenham and Richmond, it is often easier to find someone who has a better website address than one on the same street as you. Doing business locally cuts down on your carbon costs and helps improve the job opportunities in your local area.
