Of course people will stay with Freeserve - parents not wanting their kids
to look at adult material for one set. I heard a Freeserve statistic that
around 30% (give or take 5%) of users stay completely within Freeserve -
which is why they are developing new content channels very rapidly to ensure
there are less and less reasons for people to leave it. Freeserve will not
grow as quickly as it did, sure, but it will still grow rapidly...
Talking to many ISPs free and otherwise I don't think that any other ISP is
marketing themselves or developing content as well (or as fast) as
Freeserve. Doesn't mean the race is over by a long way, however!

The Freeserve phenomenon cannot last, simply because so many big name
brands have got into the same game. Each consumer will only take one
'Free' ISP and since the likes of BT, WHSmiths, EB, Barclays, etc. etc.
etc. have got into the game, they will all take some of the new
customers, so Freeserve can never grow as quickly as it did originally.

Also, the smart internet user is shifting away from Freeserve as their
home page. Everyone I know who uses Freeserve, has switched their home
page to Yahoo, Excite or something else.
