Er, not true, actually, but I'll let it go on this occasion.

My post was more tongue-in-cheek than most took it, but I
believe there was an element of truth in it.
You personally may enjoy the democracy that the likes of
Freeserve provide, but elsewhere there is snobbery against
people with freeserve and many other 'free' accounts (not to
mention aol.com). In fact there is an enormous amount of
snobbery and derision from those who see themselves as
technically superior.
And without wanting to get into a completely new argument,
the more that the techies believe that "it is on the
shoulders of the techies that the company stands" then the
more snobbish and derisive they will become.
