Can I suggest that one of the reasons you turn to Google is because it's
incredibly easy to use, has a very simple user interface that's
understandable in seconds and loads in seconds as a result?
It's sucessful because the user understands it. It's mass market as a
result of it being understandable. It's back end *happens* to be ok, but
then again, so is AV's these days, but why go to a cluttered page full of
crap you don't need, when you can go to a page that pinpoints your need
exactly?
It's the "does what it says on the tin" quality that makes it. Oh! Same as
Yahoo ;)
