Hi all,


Repeating a question in a short period of time is usually counter

productive especially on a high volume List like this. Though this

practice is common, it is not a bad idea to explain why. So.......


First, answers to your questions are provided free and most who do post

do so on a time available basis. We try to answer questions that

interest us and that have clear answers first. No one should rely on

this or most any other List if you have a time sensitive need for a

project. There are many programs at MM and elsewhere that provide this

type of consulting (but it is not free).


If you repost a question within a few days, I know it is my policy (and

many others) to push you back to the end of the line. If however, when

you repost and you reply to the same thread using the same Subject AND

supply new information or explain your problem in a different way you

might get pushed to the front of the list because the answer to your

question may now be apparent.


If you cross post the same question to many Lists you will likely be

pushed completely out of the cue and your message will be deleted

because we will assume that someone else will answer your question

(maybe some place else) and you are wasting the resources of all but one

of these Lists.


Bottom line don't expect immediate answers (though you are others may

get them), don't repost quickly unless you have something to add, and

don't create new threads reply to the same thread even if it is just

your first message. Also, don't cross post because those who usually

answer questions are likely to notice and consider it an impolite way to

get information at the expense of others (one List at a time).
