Subject: FLASH: Several optimization questions.

Posted this on the weekend and got a reply to one post but nothing to this.

A few questions
1) I'm still unsure as to what Flash writer does? Is it for export of a
static drawing? How would this be an improvement over wmf for instance? If
it's for animated content why? Just curious, it would be nice to have an
actual FLA
type graphic as an export, but unless I am not getting it it doesn't sound
like a big deal.

2) Had another question as well after working on a project with lots of
screen captures. If you were to us PNG's with the transparency (or GIFs if
that's possible) what happens to the bytes consumed by the transparency? Is
file size the same or lowered? and if lowered would a rectangle of the
transparency as a background done in Flash yield smaller sizes? Or any other
great suggeestions on screenshots??

3) Have a LARGE file 3,000 frames or so and a few hundred levels. (YES, I
already know it could/should have been in Targets) Question is. Is there a
way to select a level and see if there is anything on it without scrubbing
the whole timeline? Also, Is there a way to select all levels top to bottom
in one fell swoop? If there isn't there should be.
