Why can't Director make exe's on both platforms? That is a valid question,
since we are talking about output, not running the program itself.

Should you have to purchase two copies of Flash to have your creations play
on both a PC and Mac? PhotoShop DOES create graphics that display on both
platforms. No one is asking for one copy of PhotoShop itself to run on both
platforms, just the output. The same holds true for Director.
