but the output is a program, it's a different kettle of
fish. The issue of paying for both platform versions of the
program is different from Director exe's needing to be made
on the platform they are intended for, so no one please
confuse the issue. One is technical, one is business. I'm
concerned with the technical in this case. Phoppy files are
fine, because it's a file, you use a program to read. Like
wise with shockwave stuff, you need a browser with the plug
in to read it. OKay flash standalone exe's are different,
but its a completely different thing to director. Flash can
do it, so why cant director? Well, director and flash are
different authoring environments, for different purposes.
They each have their own merits. But Director has many more
sytem resources asked of it, it has to have the capacity to
do far more complex tasks.

it doesnt, because we are talking about platform specific
exe's, as opposed to a file neading an exe to read it.
