Subject: FLASH: MM Please Respond: Flash 4 Developers' Future to be Crippled byAOL/Netscape NEGLECT? (Netscape/FlashPlugin *ongoing* SNAFU'S) [was: RE:FLASH: OT: Macromedia upgrades . . for Troy]

MAJOR QUESTION HERE:

>wouldnt this be a major concern to
>macromedia being how prepackaged browsers
>is so important to developers?

*****YYYYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!!*****

MM will you please confirm or deny:

Is AOL/Netscape TOTALLY ANTAGONISTIC toward ALL Flash 4 Developers?

(That's a *bunch* of us!)

If you (MM) have any information indicating that AOL/Netscape has NO
INTEREST in keeping up with current Flash players, it would CERTAINLY
help us make our future career decisions accordingly, if you would be
so kind as to advise us!

NO AOL/NETSCAPE SUPPORT FOR FLASH PLAYER? = CRAPPY FUTURE FOR US ...

... and makes LiveMotion/SVG appear to be a MUCH BETTER
"alternative", all things (especially our future career interests)
considered.

Please help out with this concern.

If MM is NOT WILLING to keep on top of this issue, we are all
ultimately SCREWED as Flash Developers, IMO.

Hoping not to feel "squeezed toward" LiveMotion!

Thank you.

Respectfully,

Ken Sherwood

p.s. I will FWD to AOL/Netscape copies of (appropriate portions of)
this post, as I locate appropriate email addies. (Anyone know of any
"valuable" ones, please email me. Thanks.)
