This actually leaves things wide open. Data Protection states that the

purpose which data will be used should be stated at the time of gathering

and a change in that purpose can only be done after contacting each

individual. Your statement does not really state a purpose only where it

will be used.


For instance what does "our service" consist of? Is this the gathering of

stats or is it direct marketing campaigns run on behalf of other

organisations or some other service that you decide on running at anytime

in the future? IMO you need to be a little more specific as to what the

service is that you refer to.
