I use Screaming.net/Localtel (http://www.screaming.net). 


They offer free ISP all the time. Free phone calls to the ISP server at

night and on the weekends.  (120 hours out of the week!). Always connects at

the highest speed my modem can handle (56K). Always fast. They've had two

problems to date: In the first few months BT sabotaged Localtel's

provisioning of customers (so says me and OFTEL). They also underestimated

the popularity of a free-free service, so they're still beefing up their

infrastructure. You might have to dial a few times to get in. But once

you're on it's fast, it's free and IT'S NOT BT!


I'm a happy customer and recently got the chance to tell the heads of AOL

Europe and Freeserve the same thing.
