Standard TV can be interactive without huge costs associated with it.
Look at Teletext on ITV and C4 (my old employers). One of the most
popular parts of the service is a quiz game called Bamboozle. Indeed,
quizes on Teletext are interactive with a user just using the fastext
keys to go from one question to another.

These games are interactive, they are fun, they are popular and there is
no cost for the end user and indeed, there is no huge cost in setting
all this up as you already have a service running.

So yes, TV today is interactive and people have been using interactive
TV on Teletext for a number of years.

What is even more exciting is how Teletext and indeed other TV
broadcasters will be offering enhanced interactive services at no extra
cost to the user.
