Disagree.
Techies will tend to obsess about how the code works 'behind the
scenes' and getting it functionally to fit the spec on time rather
than do any more work for UI considerations.
Designers will tend to obsess about aesthetics rather than how the
thing actually works and how much help the end user actually needs.
It is a very rare thing to find someone who can grasp of all the
issues ( and when you do they are rarely from either a pure design or
pure technical background ).
This is why most web sites are so shit.
