Completely agree. One of my roles is information architecture and
interaction design.
Yahoo fails on that though, because the categories have got too
unweildy, often returning completely irrelevent information. The
human classifiers are no longer helping - you often get more salient
results from the Yahoo web search than the category search.
A nice idea, badly executed.
