Hi all:
A shameless plug I'm afraid, but I couldn't let this pass!
I work for Andromedia Europe Ltd, http://www.andromedia.com ; we're the
London arm of a San Francisco based web software company. One of our
products is Aria,
a web analysis tool
- that works in real time
- is scalable to sites receiving 10s of millions of pvs per day
- is fully automated
- provides high level marketing information as well as basic IS data
- does away with the need to store and parse log files (we track http
packets, or plugin to webservers, or plugin to application servers and
track application events)
- provides far more data than a web server log sees
If you are working on an ecommerce site,
or a complex site with multiple servers and/or wide geographic
distribution where the collection and merging of log files becomes
impractical,
or a high volume site (over 1m hits/day),
or if you just wish to collect high level marketing statistics
("If I segment my customer base this way, how loyal is each segment?
what is the behaviour of each segment across different sections of my
site? what is the conversion rate of basket inserts to sales by product
on my ecommerce site?),
then you might find it useful to look at Aria. You can contact Sean
Campbell, our UK sales manager by phone (07771 678611) or email
(scampbellandromedia [dot] co [dot] uk) or myself, Nick Rich,
on 07771 678602 or nrichandromedia [dot] com .
Thanks for your time - hope we can help some of you!
Nick Rich
