1) I am a mac user I have to disagree, using one hand is always easier
than two. In a fighter jet all the important buttons a on the joy stick not
the instrument panel because this allows the pilot to focus on his work, not
the instrument panel. Since I have started using a programmable right click
trackball, I have found out what Window user have always known --- right
clicking is one of the most efficient computer work flows there is.
2) As you said "driver and config nightmares" of 3rd party suppliers do
not contribute to the Mac's plug and play ease which is why
Apple needs to standardize their mouse with the Windows right click button.
Until this happens Software companies like Macromedia will continue to screw
up the flow of their interface by trying to incorporate the contextual menu
in half thought out schemes (to see what I mean try selecting a frame in the
Flash timeline than immediately hit control click to bring up the Contextual
menu and you will get the Frame Properties dialog box, not the Contextual
menu)
