Subject: | FLASH: Basic rules of good game design? |

Hi all,
I posted a Flash game for testing on the sitecheck news group.
In this game there are objects that you try to catch, and objects
that you try to avoid... I've set these objects to come out
randomly, so on occasion (but very rarely) both objects are
right next to each other so your only option is to avoid 'em
all together, thus missing the catch.
Someone made an interesting point about this...
"You must give the player a chance to either get a point or lose the
point"
and said it was a "game theory" ...
Well it does make sense now that he mentioned that... but what
I'd like to find is a list or article of the basic rules of game design
(like the one he pointed out) Does anybody know where I might find
something like this? Your help is greatly appreciated.
And to satisfy your curiosity... here's my game...

Please let me know your thoughts, and of any bugs you find,
and have fun! Be warned however... the game does contain
language that some may find offensive! So turn it up!
Thanks,
AX
