Depends on a couple things.
First, the class coontent- are you going to a Fundamentals class or
Advanced? Look at the course description. If you already know 80% of what
they are teaching you, I'd say skip the Fundamentals and move on to the
Advanced class (if they have one).
Here are examples of course outlines for comparison:
Flash Fundamentals:

Flash Advanced:
http://www.copfer.com/neodir/flashadv.htm
Second, are you getting a good value for what you are paying? Of course,
this would factor the quality of the instructor with the class content
versus price.
ON QUALITY AND CONTENT: Plenty of Flash programmers know the program, but
how good are they at conveying this knowledge to others? do they have their
own curriculum? Is it project-based, or just "this button does this, that
button does that"? Are they just reading out of a book? What set of
criteria does the training center employ when selecting/hiring/grooming
instructors?
ON PRICE: We charge $700 for our 2-day Fundamentals class, and $399 for our
1-day Advanced class. I've never had someone complain that it wasn't worth
it to them, even the ones who paid out of their pockets (not corporate), but
that's because I screen them beforehand to put them in the right class.
Sometimes, it is good to get "back to the basics", especially if you are
self-taught and there are "holes" in your knowledge, but are the holes so
big that you need to pay $425 to find out?
I guess it boils down to what will you get out of the training that you
don't already have (know), and compare that to how much you're paying.
