now this would be cool! Sounds more like a Director function :). you can try
to control a SWF file > object from within Director.We have worked with this
function, connecting a DB (Access) and utilising "datagrip" for Director.
With this we were able to read an external text file with co-ordinates and
then sync it to zooming raster (and flash) files, so that no matter what
scale you were viewing from, interactive areas would be fixed.

OR, maybe flash 4.0 can handle all of this??

If you want more info on the director (shock) arwa, let me know and I can get
one of our programers to discuss this :)
