I made a JavaScript function yesterday, movieobj.GotoPage(nubmber)
If that is what you want to do, you could maybe extract the number from the
cookie, and put it into the function. It also works with Labels, but then
its TGotoLabel(target,label).

Subject: FLASH: cookies and variables
To jump in on Niklas' bandwagon - I too am desperately trying to make
use of simple data contained in a cookie to update a text field in F4
(without Generator).
Scenario:
Textfield named empName
Cookie named empNum (set for testing purposes in the same html page as
the code for the movie but will eventually be set by a cgi script on the
server)
I have tried using frame actions to set variable, load variable, get URL
- which one, what syntax?
All I want to do is pick up the contents from the cookie (a number) and
pass that to the text field. I have tried everywhichwaybutloose,
contacted Tech Support, visited many interesting and educational sites,
and even resorted to RTFM.
Can any of the wise ones throw some light on this? Can I update a field
with info from a cookie? Using which action? Should I use JavaScript
variables instead?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA.
