Thanks, but I did try that. I have the latest QT available, and the
movie plays wonderfully in it.

So far, I'm clear, then. It looks like a bug, to me. The first time I
drop in a QT movie, it works. Any subsequent time, it gives an error
message as if QT4 weren't recognized. This happens to JPG files, too.
It seems to play fine. It's only when editing or creating that I have
problems. Sometimes, only a reboot seems to solve the prob.
