That's a pretty general question, and I see you haven't gotten other
responses. You could create a gradient glow (white or pale yellow) that
turns on and overlays the room, or just make the room a symbol and use
Modify Instance->Color to adjust the brightness. I would not try to do it
gradually, as this will be a very sluggish tween.
