Sorry to keep pestering...
well, I figured out a work-a-round by adding a keyframe a few frames past my label
and stop action that holds an action saying go to and play the last label. So it
loops if a second button click is encountered.
Seems odd to me that a second button click from Movie B (calling for a specific
label in Movie A) advances Movie A's playhead past the very label it's sitting on.
But, forcing a loop back to the label seems to work.
