I think that a combination of hand drawn/scanned images plus vector

images (probably Freehand or Illustrator) plus 3D images (maybe Strata

Studio Pro, Ray Dream or maybe even Studio Max) was used. The ever

amazing Photoshop was also probably a part of the mix. Then they might

have used Director and Flash to assemble and optimize it for the web.

You should contact the people who created the site and ask. They will

probably tell how they did.


A tablets are optional. Wacom makes really nice ones for both PC and

Mac.
