Subject: | FLASH: What are Flash basics? |

Hi all,
Very new to Flash and following along as best I can right now. Understand
maybe 30% (that may be optimistic *s*) of what I read here and hoping that
someday that number will grow.
I recently wrote an outline for a series of basic tutorials in CorelDraw. As
I was writing it, I realized that my experience with that program was not so
valuable because I could write the actual tutorial, but because I could
decide what was most important to learn in CorelDraw.
That is my biggest barrier to learning Flash. Where the heck do you start? I
understand basically how to put together a simple movie and get the sound
in, and get it to the web. The graphic creation part comes fairly easily
because of vector and bitmap experience in print and web design.
But none of that is what you all talk about. If some of you veterans had to
do it all over again, where would you place your efforts in the beginning?
What are the most important things to learn thoroughly to form a solid base
for what you do later?
My interest is purely for business application - intros and eventually menus
to enhance my web design service.
This is one fantastic program, and I can only imagine a portion of what I
could do with it if only I could wrestle the basics to the ground. But what
are the "basics"?
Any guidance much appreciated.
