Hi Jeff,


You can't set maxscroll, only read it, to find out whether you've

scrolled down the max amount in a textfield.  Scroll can be set or read,

and should be set to the line in your textfield that you want at the top

of the scrollable field.  The textfield itself will appear as you set it

(dragged it out) on the stage.  I don't know of a way to set the size

(length) of a textfield based on the amount of text that will be in it

-- you'd have to use a movie clip and some kind of calculations based on

the font size, etc (messy), I think -- hope that's not what you were

hoping to do.
