FLASH: load into location

I'm having problems with loading movies into a MC. 


I'm loading a movie test.swf into a MC of a second movie. test.swf

contains a button to control a movieclip called /MC. 


test.swf also has a varaible defined to return _target: it does so by

returning correctly /MC.


When loading into _level1, _target only returns _level1/. But tell

target still works from within test.swf, as well from the movie I've

loaded it into with _level1/MC.


But when loaded into a MC (as opposed to _level1):

1. I can only tell target the main timeline of test.swf, which now,

surprisingly enough, has the name of the MC it's loaded into.

2. The button within test.swf cannot tell target anymore

3. the variable to return _target returns a blank


Am I missing something?
