Jeff,
As far as I know, there is no way to format different parts of a text
field "on the fly" (ie, as text is read in). If bold and bullets are
the only formatting to be done, you could have the person delivering the
source files include some kind of marker for each, and then parse the
input text for those markers (that much is doable in Flash--you can
search on "stripped variable" at http://i-technica.com/flashlist if you
want to see sample code that looks for a particular character), but I
don't know of a way you could use that information to format just those
portions of the text field. Sorry -- anyone else have ideas?
