Sorry, I usually skip platform-war threads, but only caught this because I
follow Joe's posts. (If there's a question targeted at me, then it helps to
have it at the top of the post, and to avoid titles like "sitecheck",
"detection", "evil bill" and other skimmables.... ;-)

1. No.
2. It's a dead issue, and has been for years... creative professionals
develop on Mac and Win, so that's where the tools must be. Design apps must
be on both.
Of course, you may believe that I was replaced by a pod last night, and so
discount anything I say, that's always possible.... ;-)
For Matt's misdated "it's slower at school" post, please read the docs or
technotes on performance... there could be many factors which influence the
final display rate of a particular piece on one Mac and one PC.
