Subject: | RE: Talking about Bandwidth-Some People Are Missing The REAL ISSUE |

I agree!
When great artists like Caravaggio and back to Giotto went beyond
the norm and pushed the envelope they did not car if society got, only
that they severed their creative genius.
Greater Bandwidth is coming and will be before you know it. In fact I am
taking some CS graduate courses here at UCD and I can tell you that by
next year this campus as well as the Boulder main campus will be on
Internet 2. But many of my family in California already have cable
modems, sat/PC Direct hookups, not the ADSL that thepoet mentioned (very
nice name thepoet, you are looking to get the girls right?)
Anyway, I will tell you that if you set your design limits on a standard
that will be quickly gone, for most people, then you are what we call in
Chinese a 250.
Besides, perhaps the people you want to reach have these types of
speeds. And you wish to block out those that don't, (i.e. the mass
market)...creating large size Flash files or other media is a very smart
and strategic method to employ.
If you are looking to satisfy the larger market then it is wise to make
the files small. But those who think beyond today's limitations will be
tommorows Gabocorps!
