Yes that may be true, however because the majority of the people on the
internet today are on older connections, what I mean is 14.4, 28.8 and 33.6
connection file size is still a big issue. In fact the ADSL is not even
available in some areas here in Washington and Cable modems are not
available in all areas. I can't get on to cable modem until next year when
they upgrade the existing cable lines. So please don't expect everyone is
going to have fast connection.

Subject: Talking about Bandwidth

Recently many people were talking about movie sizes being too large
at 500k
etc. Currently this is true for most people, BUT, the situation is
beggining
to change in many places in the country. For example here in
Colorado and
Arizonia as well, the local RBOC-US Worst ...er... West
is starting up their ADSL
Here is a price comparison of their services. Please note that the
$40.00
per moth price includes use of the ADSL modem IF you use US Worst
for your
ISP (an additional 19.95 for unlimited access)
from http://www.uswest.com/com/customers/interprise/dsl/pricing.html
in case
you want more info.

The following prices are based on a one year contract. Pricing state
to
state may vary. Product Per
month fee Initial
set-up fee ATM OAL*
Per Month Install

MegaLine (256k) $40 $110 n/a n/a
MegaOffice (512k) $62.40 $110 n/a n/a
MegaBusiness (768k) $76.80 $110 n/a n/a

MegaBit:
1 M down 1 M up $120 $110 n/a n/a
4 M down 1 M up $480 $110 n/a n/a
7 M down 1 M up $840 $110 n/a n/a

MegaCentral:
1.544 Mbps $455 $500 ** n/a
3 Mbps $967 $500 $674.50 $840.27
Each additional
3 Mbps + $239
to previous fee $500 n/a n/a

MegaPak $59.95 $199*** n/a n/a

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
In addition to the above charges, the MegaLine, MegaOffice,
MegaBusiness and
MegaBit customers will need to buy a Netspeed Modem or PCI card from
U S WEST for their computer. The price for this ranges from $199 to
$299.

MegaBit Services provide users with a fast-paced connection to
either a
corporate LAN or the Internet. Both the data and voice traffic
travel on the
same pair of telephone wires so the user may use the phone while
working on
the computer. The customer's phone service remains the same and the
customer
continues to pay the current charges for residential or business
phone
service. The pricing of MegaBit Services does not include pricing of
phone
service.
*Asynchronous Transfer Mode Optical Access Link Certain parameters
need to
be met. Contact your sales representative for further information.

**** so folks the issue of bandwidth may not be that much of a deal
if your
target market consists of folks with speed. However, if you are
addressing
the larger universal market, well then it is.
Perhaps a dual Flash site based upon speed?
