The easiest way would be to make a button with nothing in it but a shape the
size (coordinates) you want on the HIT state only.
This would be an invisible button.
The only other option I can think of, and I'm relatively new to flash, would
be to have a drag movie clip attached to the pointer and map out the
coordinates with if statements.
