Noone ever wanted Netscape to drop existing proprietary tags. We (the
WaSP) just want browser makers to comply to existing standards before
implementing another proprietary tags!! The CSS 1 recommendation, for
example, has been around since 1996. Microsoft and Netscape did
implement stuff like colored scrollbars but they did not manage to
implement 100% of the CSS1 recommendation!

I recommend everybody who's interested in the "browser wars" and Web
standards to join the WaSP and/or subscribe to the WaSP mailing list.
