Subject: | FLASH: Scene 1: of IE 5, Flash and layer order |

Hi everyone.
Can anyone explain why in IE5 for Win, if you have a Flash layer (DIV tag
used) with a z-index inferior to a text layer, the flash layer still shows
on top of the text layer (and now comes the shock) UNLESS WMODE=TRANSPARENT?
So far I knew that whatever you do, Flash is on top, but today I set wmode
to transparent and managed to show a Flash layer beneath another one. But
without the stage being shown. Which means that if I fake the stage's
bounding rectangle with a rectangle of the same color situated on the lowest
layer in the flash composition, I can display Flash behind other layers.
Unfortunately I cannot do this in the freshly downloaded Netscape 6 PR 1 (~8
MB downloaded just to see my hopes crushed). What's going on? Does any of
you know if this will be possible in the final NS 6? And what about the
wmode IE quirk? Is it an IE "surprise" or a Flash one?
Calin
