Subject: FLASH: IE 5 without Flash?
From: Brian Mays

Been away for about a week, and I'm just getting back into the swing
here, so this may be an old question. If so I apologize.

Is Internet Explorer 5 for the Mac shipping WITHOUT the Flash plugin? I
downloaded the IE5 without Outlook option yesterday, installed it, and
the only plugin I find is Quicktime. No Flash, no Shockwave.

Was I mistaken in believing that Flash was now being distributed with
all current browsers? Did anyone hear any reasoning as to why Flash
wasn't distributed with IE5 on the Mac?

In my opinion, this is only going to further alienate developers against
Mac IE.
