Ask your family member which they'd rather have ... frames or more visitors to the Web site.


I know what I prefer.


Framed sites fare poorly in the search engines.  That's one of the primary reasons that folks use non-framed splash pages in front

of their framed sites.


Seeing is believing (sometimes).  You might want to mock something up in the manner he described, then switch his display to a lower

resolution *before* you give him the URL.
