Subject: | FLASH: Clients not paying for jobs |

Good advice patrick, I may amend our contracts to add the 25% due at design
sign off.
Just to add a short note so other people can learn how important this is.
We had a client forming a startup, and being a new company ourselves with no
portfolio to speak of we worked with the client and had him give us 25% up
front. We delivered, but designed based on what he asked for. We hated the
design, we hated the color scheme, we thought the site looked crap, but its
what the client wanted so we did it. When released everyone hated it and he
said, I want a new site, then promptly disapeared and never paid the other
75% he owed us... $4000, which is a lot of money to us doing this on a part
time basis!
Cheers
Grant.
