Social Media Week, powered globablly by Nokia, gets bigger every year and we have the stats to prove it.

Founders and global organisers Crowdcentric, with the help of Beyond, Meltwater and UberVU have created this amazing inforgraphic to share what happened.

Even though Social Media Week was only a week ago it feels like a lifetime since Covent Garden turned into a haven for all the social geeks out there. Conversations on the street switched from theatre productions and market performers to the Twitter IPO, hashtags and Facebook’s new promotion guidelines.

Social Media Week London doesn’t so much expect the unexpected as openly encourage it. Operating under the theme of “Open & Connected”, SMWLDN 2013 features a suitably diverse schedule of over 200 events. You could easily lose yourself amongst it all, so we thought we’d better offer a guide.

If history (or comic books) teach us anything is that success needs teamwork. 

Chinwag knows this. With Social Media Week London 2013 powered globally by Nokia, coming up we want to introduce you to the Advisory Board whose support and brains ensure the event succeeds.

Nine and a half weeks means two things to us: a movie that’s very missable and a deadline which definitely is not.

If you want to submit an event for Social Media Week London, you have until 2 August 2013. Right now we have 20 submitted events - let’s double that number. You need nothing more than an idea or a work in progress.

With February behind us, we are eagerly looking forward to our next Social Media Week, set to take place September 23-27, 2013! And we want you to experience it in a new way.

As you probably already know Social Media Week London will be back in September. If you didn’t know then I am sorry to be the one to break the news. Although it must have been a mighty big rock you were hiding under.

Social Media Week February is running in 8 global locations, it may feel a little too last minute to longhaul it to the other side of the pond to NYC or Tokyo but the European locations are just a hop, skip and a jump across the channel.

With lots of the events being run in English it really is worth having a look, or getting involved in a google hangout!
