Idris Elba, Kate Winslet and Steve McQueen triumphed at the Golden Globes. At least they did online according to an infographic from content recommendation network, Outbrain.

Unlike the 'real' awards where Winslet lost out to Blanchett, Elba to McConaghey and McQueen to Cuarón, Outbrain analysed 11,000 stories across their network, between 1-8th January reviewing the consumption rate and volume of stories published.

After a mammoth Social Media Week for 2012, it's time to reveal who you dubbed as this years best SMW Event and Speaker in London, as well as Social Media Personality and Campaign of the year!

It was also a night for exciting announcements as 3 Monkeys announced the categories for the Social Media Week Awards 2012. So just a recap for you...

The Categories Are:

• SMW London Event of the week
• SMW London Speaker of the week
• Social Media Personality of 2011 (UK)
• Social Campaign of the Year (since SMWLDN 2011)

SXSW Interactive, one of the most exciting events in the digital calendar, will be taking place 11th - 15th March 2011 in Austin, Texas.

This year it will be hosting two competitions, the SXSW Accelerator and the SXSW Interactive Awards, both of which showcase the unique innovation and convergence that only happens at SXSW. The deadline for both is fast approaching - Friday 10th December at 11:59pm.

Following on from the announcement of the Sector and Discipline category finalists last month, BIMA have now revealed the shortlist for the Special Awards. The Special Awards recognise excellence in interactive crafts, with the shortlist made up from all the entries received across all the main categories, so competition is fierce.

The BIMA Awards 2009 have rolled around again, with the presentations taking place on 19th Nov.

The awards celebrate the innovative work of UK digital companies and this year has seen a record number of agencies applying.

The Shortlist has just been announced showcasing some of the UK's brightest digital talent and, the good news, there are still a few precious tickets left.

Categories range from display and interactive advertising, online games, mobile to social media and word of mouth marketing. Those companies lucky enough to be shortlisted are some of the best the UK digital sector has to offer and with the BBC iPlayer in the best website section, T-Mobile's "Life is for Living" in the viral seeding category and the MINI Convertible launch up for an e-mail marketing award they are some of the most memorable campaigns from the last year too.
