Hiya Gang,
Bit of a heated debate huh? Never a bad thing, but let's try and keep it
off a personal note.
Just like to clarify on a point of list policy, the list is public in that
it is available for anyone to join and participate in. It is, however,
targeted at people involved in the marketing end of new media. That's a
pretty wide remit, this being the early days of the industry and you'll
find an enormous range of skills represented on the mailing list.
On a point of moderation, I'll only stop messages going to the list if they
are completely off-topic e.g. Make Money Fast! (no matter how much we'd
like it to be true). Regarding the laws of the land, your postings are your
own, and I take no responsibility for the messages on the mailing list and
accordingly I won't forward any which don't have a proper sender field.
Also, if it looks like the message was intended for a private recipient
I'll normally check with the poster before sending it on to the list.
I hope this clarifies things...let's try and keep everything in
perspective. If you have strong feelings, comments or suggestions let me
know, I'd rather avoid a long protracted debate about posting policy on the
list.
Aside from that, I've been too busy to post for ages and it's great to see
some very interesting issues raised. Hope everyone's going great guns.
Toodle Pip
Sam
