Recently, it has made me *very* nervous after two bad experiences 

registering domain names.  Firstly, Network Solution's new pre-payment 

system debited 70 USD from my card without giving me a receipt or selling 

me the domain (to their credit, they sorted it out for me the next day - 

possibly because I was writing a feature about domain names at the 

time!).  Secondly, this week I tried to buy a domain name from a German 

company called 'Joker', which was recommended to me by a reliable 

source.  The joke was on me, as the ordering system  hung immediately after 

I entered my cc number.  Two calls to the credit card company confirmed, to 

my relief, that this time my card hadn't been debited.  However, I am 

reluctant to try either of these systems again !


Has anyone had similar experiences?  Perhaps I'm jinxed with these things!
